Another World: An Adventure Game for Nintendo Switch

Another World is an adventure game for Nintendo Switch developed by DotEmu. The game follows the story of a young physics professor named Lester, who finds himself in a strange alien world after a particle experiment goes wrong. The game combines shooting, platforming, and puzzle-solving elements, divided into different stages, some of which are interconnected. Exploration and problem-solving are emphasized throughout the game.

The game's combat system revolves around an energy gun that can shoot projectiles, create energy shields to protect Lester from regular attacks, and create powerful blasts to disrupt enemy shields. Enemies are equipped with similar guns and have the same abilities as Lester, making combat a tactical experience. Another World does not have an on-screen interface or in-game dialogue, and vector graphics are used to create the game's environments and animated cutscenes. Each level can be accessed by typing a code the player learns after completing it.
